Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Elumre uses across elumre.com, the Elumre application and public proposal pages — and the choices you have. Elumre is operated by STA.SH Jakub Wilk (hello@elumre.com); how we handle personal data in general is described in the Privacy Policy.
Everything listed here is first-party: we run no advertising trackers, and nothing collected this way is ever sold or shared with advertisers.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser, usually to recognize you between requests or visits. The same job is sometimes done by local storage and session storage — browser features that keep values on your device instead of sending them with every request. This policy covers all of them.
The two categories we use
Essential. Required for Elumre to work at all: signing you in, securing the sign-in flow and remembering basic preferences. These are always active — the service cannot function without them.
Analytics. Help us understand how the product and the website are used so we can improve them. These are set only if you consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. Declining them changes nothing about how the product works.
Essential cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
cc_cookie | Remembers your cookie choice, so we don’t ask again on every visit | 6 months |
better-auth.session_token | Keeps you signed in to the app | 7 days |
better-auth.* (sign-in) | Short-lived values that secure the sign-in flow, e.g. protecting Google sign-in against forgery | Removed once sign-in completes |
sidebar_state | Remembers whether you keep the app sidebar open or collapsed | 7 days |
Session cookies are set for the elumre.com domain so the app and the API can share your sign-in. Our infrastructure providers may additionally set strictly necessary security cookies, for example to filter automated abuse.
The app also keeps a few preferences in local storage: theme-storage (light or dark theme) and elumre-language (interface language). These stay on your device and are never sent to us.
Proposal pages
When a team shares a proposal with you, the proposal page stores a few values in your browser:
| Key | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
elumre-proposal-key:… | Remembers the access key of a protected proposal so a page refresh doesn’t lock you out | Session storage — cleared with the tab |
elumre-comment-name:…, elumre-owned-comments:… | Prefills your name on comments and lets you edit or delete the comments you wrote | Local storage |
elumre-visitor | A random identifier — it says nothing about who you are — that lets the sender see the proposal was opened and read | Local storage |
These values never track you across sites and are not shared with third parties.
Analytics — only with your consent
Neither tool below is loaded until you accept analytics: before that, no script from them runs and no cookie of theirs is set. Public proposal pages carry no product analytics at all.
| Name | Service | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics — on elumre.com | Tells new visitors from returning ones and measures how the website is used | Up to 2 years |
ph_* | PostHog — inside the app | Product analytics: which features are used, where errors happen; data stored in the EU | Up to 1 year |
Your choices
- Consent. We ask before setting anything but the essentials, and refusing takes exactly one click, like accepting. You can change your mind whenever you like: “Cookie settings” in the footer of this site, or in your account menu inside the app. Withdrawing consent stops the analytics tools and clears the cookies they set.
- Browser controls. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data. If you block essential cookies, you won’t be able to stay signed in.
- Google Analytics. You can additionally opt out everywhere with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top; meaningful changes to what we store will be reflected here before they happen.
