The pattern is the same everywhere: find where your agent keeps its tools, paste the server address, sign in.

ChatGPT

Available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education. Not on Free or Go.

  1. Open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open Settings → Plugins and press the + button.
  3. Enter a name, a short description, and the server address.
  4. Press Create, then sign in to Elumre when prompted.

To use it, pick Developer mode from the tools menu in the message box.

Older guides tell you to look under “Connectors”. That screen was renamed twice — first to Apps, then to Plugins. If you cannot find Connectors, you are not lost; it no longer exists.

If your workplace manages ChatGPT, an admin may have switched Developer mode off for everyone.

VS Code

Works on every Copilot plan, including Free.

  1. Press Cmd+Shift+P (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows) to open the Command Palette.
  2. Type MCP: Add Server and press Enter.
  3. Choose HTTP.
  4. Paste the server address, then give it a name.
  5. Choose whether to add it globally or only for this project.

A browser window opens for sign-in the first time you use it.

If your company manages Copilot, an administrator may need to allow MCP servers that are not in the GitHub registry.

Cursor

Open the Customize page and find the MCP section, then add a server using the address above.

Zed

  1. Open Settings → AI → MCP Servers.
  2. Press Add Server, then Add Remote Server.
  3. Paste the server address.

Zed prompts you to sign in automatically. A green dot next to the server means it is connected.

Devin Desktop

This is Windsurf under its new name, since June 2026.

  1. Open the Cascade panel and click the MCPs icon in the top right. You can also go to Settings → Cascade → MCP Servers.
  2. Add a server using the address above.

On Enterprise plans an administrator has to switch MCP on before this appears.

A note on other editors

GitHub Copilot inside JetBrains IDEs, Eclipse and Xcode can talk to MCP servers, but at the time of writing those integrations authenticate with personal access tokens rather than a sign-in window. Elumre requires the sign-in flow, so use one of the clients above instead.
